Suckrss aggregates personal RSS feeds from social networks and blogs and automatically repost a normalized version of the content to your preferred weblog software of choice and to Facebook. When posting images, relevant Exif data (focal length, exposure, metering mode, etc) is included along with a thumbnail version of the image.
Most weblogs (eg.WordPress) use an XML-RPC interface, Suckrss currently supports the MetaWeblog API variant.
When posting to Facebook, the new Open Stream API is used.
SuckRSS can parse syndacated data from different types of services and does its best to ensure the (normalized) content can be treated the same way by the publishing engine.
Enclosures links are replaced so that visitors never need to leave the website; photos and videos may be overlayed when you click on them, according to preferences; duplicate posts are discarded; a map and a (reverse geocoded) place name are provided for georeferenced media; multiple feeds can be merged and sorted in chronological order.
Most of the content on my
Tranquilli.org web site and on my
Facebook profile is automatically posted by SuckRSS.
